On June 8, 2013, in Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa, the groundbreaking ceremony of the National Highway 1A construction project was opened from Km1488 to Km1525 section through Khanh Hoa province under BOT form (investment in exploitation). & transfer).

The project is invested by 194 Construction Investment Joint Stock Company. At the ceremony, Saigon & Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) officially signed a credit financing agreement for the project with a total amount of VND 2,354 billion. Assets secured for loans are all rights to exploit and collect construction and other assets.

The expansion of National Highway 1A section from Km1445 to Khanh Hoa province is an important part and in line with the orientation of Vietnam transport development along the North – South axis. The number of means of transport on National Highway 1A in 06 years from 2006 to 2012 increased quite high, in addition to the transportation demand of vehicles on the road under the project, in the future, it is expected that the rate of rapid growth will increase causing QL1A to overload. Therefore, expanding QL 1A is an urgent requirement to ensure smooth traffic as well as to facilitate development for the region. The expansion of National Highway 1A (the section running through Khanh Hoa province) together with the national highway, provincial road, and district road network in the region will create a continuous and smooth traffic network to ensure national security for the region. Central – Highlands and plays an important role in promoting economic development not only in Khanh Hoa province but also in the region as well as in the whole country.
